Are videos still being produced?

Yes, they are. Even with the pandemic, video production is vital for firms willing to expand their reach and boost their sales. In addition, around 50% of consumers watch videos every day, and recent studies have shown that most prefer to learn about a product or services through video rather than through images and text.

These statistics together with the fact that videos help businesses rank higher on SERPs, have encouraged many firms to invest in video production.

However, in response to the COVID-19 pandemic, we have made some changes to the way we operate. For instance, currently we use Zoom meetings rather than in-person meetings to go over everything we need before the video production begins. Besides, team members wear masks and always follow social distancing rules. Finally, all equipment used is sanitised before and after the shoot.

Although COVID-19 is not slowing video production, the type of video content that is in-demand has changed. Some of the most popular video types right now are:

  • Talking head interviews. Business owners, department managers or any other person that used to speak face-to-face with their clients are looking for new ways to communicate their messages. One of the most common tools used to send these messages is “talking head” videos, which are engaging and cost-effective. In addition, they clearly reflect safe social distance practices to the audience

  • Live-streaming videos. Demand for live-streaming videos has increased a lot during the last year. This has been mainly due to social distancing rules that limit the number of people that can attend an event. Now it has become an essential tool for many business owners out there.

  • Explainer videos. These videos are currently being used by many companies that want to send a message to their audience but that do not want to be on camera. They are engaging to the audience and cost-effective solution for the company.
